It Pays to Actually Play in Third Period

Nobody ever had to tell Rambo to finish games strong. Just saying.

Much like Game 1 of the Flyers-Capitals series, the Flyers held a 2 goal lead in game 2. This time, they didn't give it back.

The Flyers went up 2-0 with about five minutes to go in the second period. They then basically played a penalty-kill for the remainder of the game, constantly dumping the puck and getting back on defense.

Patrick Thorensen remained out with what's been termed a "groin injury." As you might recall, Patrick blocked a slapshot with little Patrick in Game 1. Or technically, Little Patrick's nuts. (Warning: Link not for the weak or heart, or stomach).

The series is now all tied at 1-1, with game 3 to be played in Philly Tuesday at 7:00.
